【Central Circuit × Keiichi Tsuchiya】“Drift King” Keiichi Tsuchiya Appointed as Central Circuit Ambassador

“The joy of driving is something you never forget.” Strengthening the transmission of motorsports culture to the next generation.

■ Background of Ambassador Appointment: A Vision for the Future by a 20-Year “Battle Companion”

The bond between J’s Corporation and Mr. Keiichi Tsuchiya began over 20 years ago with a serious challenge in a media project. The trust built through years of honing their skills together on the demanding stage of the circuit, combined with a shared sense of purpose regarding the challenges of “young people turning away from cars” and “elevating the status of motorsports culture,” led to this appointment.
By merging J’S RACING’s philosophy that “parts development is always cultivated on the circuit” with Mr. Tsuchiya’s belief that “circuits have the power to nurture people,” we will evolve the reborn Central Circuit from “just a place to drive” into a “sacred site that broadcasts culture to the world.”

■ Mr. Keiichi Tsuchiya’s Inaugural Remarks (Excerpt)

When J’S RACING approached me about becoming their ambassador, I didn’t hesitate for a moment. J’S RACING is a manufacturer with genuine trust and proven results in racing, having competed seriously for many years. Furthermore, I myself felt a strong sense of crisis about the recent trend of young people losing interest in cars and the declining status of motorsports culture. Amidst this, I deeply resonated with J’S RACING’s genuine commitment to advancing motorsports.
President Umemoto is like a comrade-in-arms who has supported motorsports culture alongside me. If he’s seriously building the future, I want to contribute my strength. I want to work with J’S RACING to revitalize motorsports culture once more—that’s precisely why I gladly accepted this ambassador role.
Today’s youth have fewer opportunities to experience cars than in the past. But once you discover the joy of cars, it stays with you forever.
What I want to convey is the “pure joy of driving” and the “excitement of taking on challenges.”
Not just speed, but the thrill of mastering a car, the sense of growing together with friends, and the exhilaration unique to the circuit. I want Central Circuit to be a place that actively shares these experiences. Creating opportunities for the younger generation to think, ‘Cars are fun’ and ‘Driving is the best’—that’s what I believe is my role.
Central Circuit is a vital place for driving enthusiasts in the Kansai region. With J’S RACING becoming the owner, I expect improvements in safety and the hosting of more appealing events, creating opportunities for the younger generation to think, ‘Driving is the best.’”
